Junk Box

First off - this is a great way of 'recycling' hobby materials. Instead of throwing stuff away and contributing to our impending ecological decline, Warsenal stuffs a box full of misc 'stuff' and ships it off for a small fee. What you get for about $30, is usually a heavy box of mdf sprues, random acrylic bits, and some loose pieces - this could be templates or loose mdf terrain bits.
Now, to be honest, I've 'gambled' on these four times. Two of the boxes were jam packed, and two were maybe 66% full. In general, the fuller boxes came with mostly complete mdf terrain sprues where there were some minor miscuts, a missing piece or two, or the pre-painted patterns were misaligned to different degrees. I've had a few pre-painted sprues where I couldn't even tell what was wrong with it besides a small missing piece or some blemish on the paint. *shrug* The lighter boxes generally had more acrylic bits and templates, and smaller accessory terrain sprues.
Who is this for? Puzzle solvers, imperfectionists, and people who don't mind kitbashing terrain to make it unique! I've purchased and built a ton of Warsenal stuff - so with experience and the website you can often figure out how to fit some of this stuff together easily. If you're lucky, the box contains a bunch of core foundational structures (e.g. four walls and a floor). Once you build these, then you can start adding all kinds of the random bits to spice them up to your hearts content.
Tips: If you can source some thin extruded foam (similar to the material Plastcraft Games uses), you can also cut and fill in any missing walls making some more complete structures relatively easily.
Any leftover bits can then be added to home-crafted terrain or other mdf kits.
I do think these are rather fun to get the creative spark going and you can get lucky and wind up with quite a lot of structures from a box or two.

I enjoyed the junk box. Well worth the price and in my opinion you get more than what you paid for. It may have some miss prints but very usable. I wish they would give you some sort of reference to which mismatch products received so I know what I am working with.

Junk box is the best purchase for those who want to do some kit bashing and custom pieces.
